I became a founding Board Member for Inscape Tasmania in 2014, when it was established as a not for profit organisation that places artists and musicians into the Royal Hobart Hospital. It’s an exciting collaboration between the hospital administrators and staff, patients and their families and artists, who are trained to work closely with those who find themselves in hospital. My role was to support the practitioners and develop campaigns to invite investment in the program. The response from hospital nursing staff and doctors, patients and families and the artists has been extremely positive and demand for more insight arts is continuing to increase. Inscape grew from one ward to now servicing the entire hospital and other nearby facilities. Find out more about Inscape at www.inscape.org.au
